Fuse-Free fitting with the PDM60…

The PDM60 Power Distribution Module makes adding/removing accessories to/from bikes and scooters quick and fuss-free (and fuse-free too). Whether power is needed for auxiliary lighting, communications and navigation equipment or electrically heated clothing, the PDM60 makes connection safe and simple.

Connect the compact PDM60 unit directly to the vehicle’s 12V battery, then use the six power circuits to handle gadgets and accessories – without overloading accessory plugs, messy and complicated wiring set ups or the need for fuses and relays.

PDM60Completely solid state, the PDM60 offers 60 amps total capacity over the six circuits, with a draw of up to 15 amps per circuit. Each circuit can be programmed to the amperage required and set up via a regular PC/Laptop, using free downloadable software.

Users can choose between several operational modes for each circuit – ‘always on’, ‘timed off’ or ‘ignition off’ configurations – to cater for devices that need to stay live when the key is off, such as some GPS units and radio memories, and others that don’t, like heated grips.

One 15 amp circuit is externally switchable, with small, low-current switches for lighting etc; no need to add extra relays.

Should the user decide to remove or replace an accessory with something of a different amperage, the PDM60 can simply be re-programmed to accept it – no re-wiring required.

The PDM60 comes complete with built-in fault detection and diagnostic LEDs too, so if a circuit does short, the indicators will tell you instantly. It’s also easily reset after the fault has been corrected: just switch off and on – no more locating, pulling and replacing blown fuses.

nippy-normans-PDM60Completely waterproof and sealed against rain, dust and humidity to IP67 standards, and measuring just 10 ×7 × 2 cm, it’s ideal for adventure riders, tourers and commuters, and is compatible with most 12V motorcycles and scooters, including those with CAN-bus electrical systems, like the newer BMWs.

The PDM60 costs £129 including VAT and comes with the USB cable required for connection to a PC/laptop and full instructions.
